Baptisms & Weddings

The Church of Scotland believes in infant baptism, and is usually the first step in the lifelong journey of faith. Baptism can take place at any stage of life and is related to Jesus baptism by John the Baptist.

Baptism usually takes place during a morning service and is part of a relationship with and commitment to faith, usually by parents. The minister is happy to discuss baptism with those who would like to know more about this Church sacrament.

Weddings take place in the church on a regular basis. It is a happy service where families of the happy couple join together to thank God and seek his blessing on the couple’s life together.

A couple who are interested in what is involved in a church marriage should first speak to the minister.
